FINE CASED SHIP MODEL OF THE AMERICAN STEAM YACHT “CORSAIR” OWNED BY J.P. MORGAN. The fully rigged wooden scale model with planked decks, awnings, all in natural wood tones. Portholes, rails, stanchions, capstone, bell, etc., all in brass. The painted hull with gilt highlights and mounted with twin propellers raised on a mahogany plinth with inlaid spandrels within a custom built mahogany glass case on conforming stand. The plinth with plaque inscribed: “American Steam Yacht ‘Corsair’, owner: J.P. Morgan. Designer: H.J. Gielow. Builder: Bath Iron Works. Captain: W.B. Porter”.
