ORIENTAL PATRIOTIC NEEDLEWORK. Large souvenir of the Great White Fleet’s visit to the Far East. The large size needlework shows a spread wing eagle over a needlework shield with a photograph of a sailor. A large watercolor silk picture of a White Fleet battleship is framed amongst six crossed U.S. flags. Top with title “In Remembrance of My Cruise in China, Japan and P.I.” from “1901 to 1905”. Bottom with nautical motif and banner “E. Pluribus Unum”. Housed in its original wood frame. SIGHT SIZE: 46” x 26-1/2”. CONDITION: Generally very good. There are some splits to back silk background and the right top corner has missing silk. 9-71811 (1,000-2,000)
