LAURENCE PHILIP SISSON (American, 1928-) “FOOTBRIDGE, BOOTHBAY HARBOR”. Fine watercolor Maine harbor scene shows the footbridge leading to a fishing shack on long stilts in a tranquil harbor with two-mast schooner and other buildings. Two figures are seen on bridge and the foreground shows sand and rocks at low tide. Signed upper right “Laurence Sisson 1951”. Housed in a wood molded frame with acid free gray matting. PROVENANCE: Richard Withington Auction 1/4/92, purchased in 1952 by Guy Cogswell from Robert Vose Galleries, Boston (original bill of sale from Vose and Withington with flyer included).
