The top rear of the receiver is engraved with a small vignette of a snarling cougar head. It is all surrounded by extremely well executed foliate arabesque patterns with several different types of borders. The magazine box and trigger guard, as well as the bottom of the receiver, top and bottom tangs, and back of the receiver are matching engraved. The engraving extends about 4” up the bbl. The serial number is engraved on the front bottom of the receiver and on the bottom tang. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Retains virtually all of its fine original finish to both metal and wood with a couple of small scratches and a small ding or two on the bbl and a hairline at the rear edge of the forearm. Checkering has a bruise on the forearm and another on the wrist. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-52682 JR362 (5,000-8,000)
