LEADED & STAINED GLASS WINDOW WITH GEORGE WASHINGTON. Outstanding square framed window has a central rondel with George Washington bust. Its outer circle decorated with alternating oval amber cabochon glass and round blue cabochon glass. The outer borders decorated with carmel and purple slag, ripple glass and round colored bulls eyes. The outer most border in rectangular purple. PROVENANCE: Oral history indicates that it was made for the American Centennial. From there it was placed into a Masonic temple in Philadelphia where it was moved after the building was torn down to the George Washington Pub in Cincinnati, Ohio. SIZE: Sash: 35-3/4” x 39”. Interior: 31-1/2” x 36”. CONDITION: Generally very good. Some cracks as well as three bulls eyes are cracked. 9-26987 (2,000-3,000)
