RARE SMITH & WESSON JAPANESE NAVAL CONTRACT NEW MODEL #3 REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Blued finish, 7” keyhole ribbed bbl, pinned half moon front sight, wood grip panels with Lanyard loop in the butt and Japanese naval marking on the bottom of the frame just forward of the trigger guard. One of the first 232 pieces delivered to Japan. SN 5462. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains approximately 30% thinning original blue, strong and bright in sheltered areas with the balance a smooth blue-gray patina. Grips are sound with fine hand rubbed patina.
