SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 ARGENTINE ARMY LARGE FRAME REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Usual 2-line marking on the 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl, round butt with 2-pc smooth walnut grips and a lanyard stud in the butt installed through the serial number with only last digit visible. Bottom of the frame marked on two lines “EJERCITO/ARGENTINO”. One of only 2,000 sold to the Argentine government by Hartley & Graham 1/10/81. SN appears to be 1443. CONDITION: Good. No original finish remains being an even cleaned gray metal cover overall. All numbers match including the grips.
