ASSEMBLED EUROPEAN MUSKET. Cal. 76. 41-1/8” part oct bbl. Appears to be a German musket but markings have been removed from the lock. The sling swivels are missing. Hammer is from an American converted musket and the ramrod is a from a Remington Rolling Block. There are numerous acceptance and issue marks on the various parts. NSN CONDITION: Gray-brown patina with moderate pitting ranging to very heavy at the breech. A large chip is missing above the lock and another by the rear of the lockplate. There are small cracks near the buttplate. Stock has been sanded and re-oiled. Other cracks are scattered about the rest of the wood. The lock works, nipple is pounded flat. 4-48503 X46 (300-500)
