BOUCHER “POLLY-WOG” SPEED BOAT. Elusive and eclectic describe this toy. Boucher manufactured a number of different toys, however only on rare occasions is a collector able to find this example, which is in all original, untouched condition. It has a live steam/hot air outboard motor. It is emblazoned in lime green and trimmed with gilt lettering “Polly-Wog”. The polished aluminum deck and trim retain their three original brass air vents. Boat appears to be completely intact and most likely functional when fired up. Marked on the wooden sides “Boucher, Lafayette, New York” as well as on the pistons of the outboard motor. SIZE: 23″ long. CONDITION: Overall condition very fine plus, some wear at wooden edges and minor scraping on bottom of boat. 1-7931 (1,000-2,000)
