“MISS LIBERTY” BELL TOY. Manufactured by Kyser & Rex. Another exemplary bell toy from this company, this features a polychromed MISS LIBERTY standing in a green shell/leaf chariot. When the toy is pulled along the floor, the bell in front of MISS LIBERTY is struck while her right arm raises and lowers her American Flag. MISS LIBERTY wears a white and blue gown with red cape and gold highlighting, while resting her left hand upon a sheaf of wheat. The red heart shaped wheels have gold pin striping. This toy, one of Bob and Jackie’s favorites, was prominently displayed as a centerpiece among their most beloved toys. Provenance Bernard Barenholtz, this toy appeared on the Today Show when a feature was presented on antique toys. SIZE: 8”.
