COLT MEDIUM FRAME LIGHTNING SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 22315. Standard carbine without sliding breech cover and with safety in the front of the trigger bow. It has 20-1/2” bbl, full magazine, Baker front sight and Colt reverse mounted carbine ladder rear sight. It has a staple and ring in the left side of the receiver and straight grain American walnut wood with checkered 2-pc forearm and straight stock with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Good plus. Bbl retains 75-80% coverage, mottled blue/brown patina with strong blue in the sheltered areas. Magazine tube is a silver/gray patina with some scattered light rust. Receiver is mostly a silver/gray patina with a few scattered dings and traces of blue in the sheltered areas. Bbl band screw, magazine plug screw and one receiver screw are replacements. Tip of the lower tang has a ding. Stock has a hairline by the left wrist and another in the back edge of the forearm and is missing several small chips and a sliver by the top tang, otherwise retains about 90% of its original finish.
