EDWARD A. PAGE (AMERICAN, 1850 – 1928) TENDING TO THE FLOCK. Outstanding large oil on canvas New England scene shows a small flock of six sheep being tended to by a man beside small cart. The sheep graze in a field which is bordered by a large wood fence separating the field from the house beyond. A flowering tree spreads over the fence. Beyond the field is another house under colorful sky. Signed lower right, “E.A. PAGE, 1922”. Housed in an outstanding reproduced reeded, carved wood gilt frame with carved gilt liner having a gilt artist’s plaque. SIZE: 20″h x 30″w. CONDITION: Re-lined, inpainting.
