COLT LARGE FRAME LIGHTNING RIFLE. Cal. 45-60-300. SN 6079. Standard grade rifle with 28” oct bbl, German silver Rocky Mountain front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has full magazine, and the wood is straight grain American walnut with checkered 2-pc forearm and straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: About fine. Bbl retains about 90% dull original blue and the magazine tube 80-85% original finish turning plum with scattered light rust. Receiver retains 60-70% thin original blue with the balance turning gray. Buttstock has a crack at the toe and the wood has normal use and handling marks with scratches and dings and a few light bruises showing moderate to heavy wear and retains 60-70% original finish. Good mechanics, strong bright bore with scattered pitting, frosty in the grooves. 4-52599 JR 338 (4,000-7,000)
