FOLK ART 2-SIDED CAKE BOARD. 2nd half 19th century. Carved from the solid, depicting a seated whimsical cat on one side and a similarly carved seated dog on the opposing side. The maker’s initials “PP” incised on the side of the panel. SIZE: 9″ x 5-3/4″ x 1″. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Chad Richards, Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Very good, with dark brown surface and patina. 9-94685 (500-1,000)
