WATERS 1836 CONVERSION PISTOL. Cal. 54. Fine U.S. conversion with 8-1/2” round barrel, small brass front sight, captive rammer, with iron band and iron sideplate. With iron front and back straps and round butt cap. Usual Waters markings dated “1841”. The stock is one piece walnut with two legible cartouches on the left side flat. CONDITION: About good, the iron retains a medium gray patina with some pitting around the nipple area. The stock is cracked back of the lockplate and in front of the rear sideplate screw. Otherwise retains a fine hand rubbed polish. Good mechanics. 4-48963 JR740 (400-700)
