RARE DELUXE COLT SMALL FRAME LIGHTNING RIFLE. Cal. 22. SN 35213. Beautiful deluxe rifle with 26” tapered oct bbl, 1/2 magazine, German silver Rocky Mountain front sight and tiny semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has very beautiful, highly figured walnut wood, probably English walnut with checkered 1-pc forearm and pistol grip stock with curved Colt hard rubber buttplate. The grip cap is checkered to match and it has a gold initial plate on the bottom of the stock. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Metal retains 95-97% strong bright original factory blue overall with minor muzzle and sharp edge-wear and a small flaked spot on the receiver. Hammer retains most of its original case colors. Wood is sound with minor small nicks and scratches and a ding on the comb and retains most of its bright original factory varnish. Mechanics are crisp, strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-52594 JR333 (3,000-6,000)
