UNUSUAL AMERICAN HOOKED MAT OF A BLUE HERON. Circa 1900. Woven in greens, beige, pale blue, and pink, depicting a blue heron standing in water amongst cattails, the end borders woven with flowerheads and terminating in tassels. SIZE: 42″ x 17-1/2″. PROVENANCE: Found in a cabin in upper New York State. CONDITION: Very good overall, with rich soft colors. Some loss to lower edge. 9-92319 (500-1,000)
