FINE CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY DROP LEAF DINING TABLE. One board top having D-shaped one board leaves supported by swing out legs. The whole table rests on four square molded legs, each leg molded on two sides with a beveled back edge. Table rests on caster feet. Appears to have pine and chestnut secondary wood. Outstanding heavy mahogany with nice grain. NOTE: The family always thought this was a Newport, Rhode Island table. PROVENANCE: From an eastern Connecticut Estate. SIZE: 28-3/4” h with casters (27” without casters) x 51” l x 19-3/4” d (closed); a 60-1/4” (open). CONDITION: Refinished, very good. 9-29856 (2,000-4,000)
