PAIR OF GMEINER FLINTLOCK PISTOLS WITH RAISED CARVED STOCKS. Cal. 46. 6-3/4” stepped barrels with oct. breech and 16 sided front separated by multiple rings. The barrels are marked “ANT. GMEINER” in silver and the locks are marked “Hildburghaus”. The brass mounted walnut stocks are finely carved with vines and flowers in the upper tang and borders around the lock, trigger guard, forearm and sideplate. Horn forearm tips. The barrels are rifled with seven grooves. CONDITION: Generally fine. The metal parts have been lightly cleaned, not effecting the markings. The edges of the wood are still sharp. An initial “M” has been stamped on the upper left part of each stock. The flintlock appears to be functional but the safeties are stuck. 4-48715 (4,500-$5,500)
