EXTREMELY RARE ROPER BABY CARBINE. CAL. 32. 19” rnd bbl. There are no markings of any kind on this rifle. Only a few of these were made early in Roper’s career at Amherst, Massachusetts. Only a couple of specimens are known. From the Allen Thompson collection, via R. A. Bourne auction.. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall. Wood has minor dents and scratches but retains most of its original varnish. Mechanically fine. 4-52713 FS173 (3,000-5,000)
