WALTER M. BRACKETT (American, 1823-1919) THE TROPHY SALMON. Fine oil on canvas sporting scene shows a recently landed salmon. The fish is seen on a little grassy area with head resting on a rock. An early bamboo pole is seen with a fly reel. Signed lower right “Wm Brackett 1905”. Housed in a gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 20-1/4” x 32”. CONDITION: Small patch to reverse, minor inpainting.
