PAIR OF UNFRAMED ANCESTRAL PORTRAITS BY HORACE BUNDY (1814-1883). Portraits show man and woman with black and white clothing having a brown background. Portraits are rectangular but have oval framing area, which has 1/2″ border. Wonderful rendition of faces with a soft pleasing features, each is signed on reverse of canvas in script “H Bundy Painter”. Both have canvas stamp of “R. L. & G. Drake Artist Depo Troy, NY”. SIZE: 29 1/2″ h x 25″ w. CONDITION: Woman has extensive chips to edge where frame might have been, man has only some chips to bottom and two old patches, otherwise good. 9-91392 (6,000-8,000)
