MODEL OF THE “KATE CORY”, WESTPORT, CT. Circa 1979. The 2-masted brigantine modeled from wood and composition, the hull in black paint with white superstructure, the bottom of the ship inlaid overall with abalone beneath the waterline. Attached to the stand is a brass plaque reading “KATE CORY / WESTPORT 1856”. An additional brass plaque reads in script “Built 1979 / Edward Spadafora”. Now mounted in custom case. SIZE: 24-1/2″ overall h. x 28-1/2″ overall l. x 13″ overall w. CONDITION: Very good original condition. 9-95546 (2,500-3,000)
