16″ PRESBYTERIAN TYPE PAINTED CLOTH DOLL. A charming oil painted cloth doll, circa early 20th Century with a hypnotic look about her. Of unusual construction, the head is seamed in two spots and gathered together at the neck line, the body and head constructed of cotton material, she has mitten hands with simulated fingers. Clothing appears to be original and she has a first place blue ribbon. Paint to the shoulder and head area have been black lighted and appears to have no repair or restoration to painted areas.
