SCARCE FRENCH POACHERS SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. NSN. Strange little take down shotgun with 21-5/8” Damascus bbl with brass bead. It has a tiny receiver with integral long tang and attached trigger guard with checkered butt and wrist. It functions by unscrewing the bbl for loading and extraction. There is a folding trigger like lever on the lower tang that is the cocking device for the striker. It is fired in the normal fashion. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 60-70% twist pattern with scattered spots of pitting. Receiver and tang are a gray-brown metal color. Wood is sound, showing light wear and retains most of an old refinish with light handling and use marks. Good mechanics, dark lightly pitted bore. 4-52767 JR463 (500-800)
