SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 LARGE FRAME SMOOTH BORE REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Blued finish, 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl, 2-line address, pinned half mood steel front sight with 2-pc monogrammed hard rubber grips and a lanyard loop in the butt. Bore is completely smooth and originally so. Records indicate that this revolver was sold to Japan. There is a small “W” stamped on the left side of the grip frame under the grip. SN 29378. CONDITION: Fine. All matching except the grips which are unnumbered. This revolver, overall, retains about 85-90% strong original blue with muzzle wear and edge wear. Cylinder is thin and turning patina. Hammer and trigger guard have case colors in sheltered areas with the balance turned silver. Left grip has a crack at the bottom and both grips have turned chocolate. Bore is bright and shiny with a couple of small spots of rust.
