SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 JAPANESE ARTILLERY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Blued finish, 7” keyhole ribbed bbl, pinned steel half moon front sight and 2-pc diamond checkered walnut grips with lanyard loop in butt. There are two lines of Japanese characters on the left side of the extractor housing. Lanyard loop stud is installed through the serial number and only the first number and part of the last are visible. The number “127” is stamped transverse across the butt behind the lanyard loop. SN 25307. CONDITION: Very good, all matching except the grips which are unnumbered but appear to be original to this revolver. Overall it retains 60-70% bright original blue with several sports of deep rust pitting. Balance is a light gray-brown patina. Grips show moderate wear.
