15” SCHMITT BEBE. An outstanding example of a Schmitt with threaded blue eyes, pale bisque, fully jointed marked Schmitt body. Doll is wearing antique shoes, underwear, blonde mohair wig and mother made or later French skirt and jacket with matching hat. Marked on the rear of head with the Schmitt shield and a “0” below, original composition pate is also marked with shield and a “0”. CONDITION: Composition body has normal wear at joints although torso shows crazing to composition. A few minor wig chips to side and rear of head. Small pepper/beauty mark on doll’s left cheek. 1-830 JL55 (7,000-9,000)
