TIFFANY-STYLE LAMP BASE. Rare cattail design lamp base has wide lily pad foot with cattails surrounding the body of the base. Base supports a shade ring as well as a four-socket cluster. Impressed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 225”. This base (originally with shade) was represented as Tiffany and sold at Sotheby’s New York, Sale #7402, Dec. 4, 1999, Lot #424. We however are not convinced it is Tiffany and therefore can not and will not guarantee it. SIZE: Shade ring 20-1/4” dia. Overall height is 18-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-63566 (4,000-6,000)
