MARIE GLON CAMERON (American, 19th/20th Century) “HELENA”. Oil on canvas shoulder length portrait of a young woman with side view with head turned toward viewer. She wears a red dress with mink fur collar and has a reddish/brown background. Signed lower right. Housed in a fine gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner which appears to be original. Early label attached to back with title, address and artist. SIZE: 20″ x 16″. PROVENANCE: From a Belfast, Maine home. CONDITION: Craquelure and some discolored varnish.
