*SCARCE SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 21 DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal 28 ga. SN W34211. This is the last firearm Mr. Owens acquired for his collection, having purchased it at our March 2004 Firearms Auction. We have been told that Mr. Owens had planned to begin a collection of Model 21 shotguns. It is a wonderful small bore 21 with 28” ventilated rib bbls choked IMP-CYL /MOD, flat side receiver with lightening cuts, ejectors and single selective trigger. It has spectacular, highly figured, center crotch cut walnut wood carved in “A” style. It has beavertail forearm, and pistol grip stock 14-3/8” over a checkered butt with oil finish. The receiver has light engraving in arabesque patterns with tiny patterns around the edges and a flying duck on the floorplate. The standing breech, bbl lug, bbl flats, forend lug, and inside the forend iron are all nicely jeweled. It is accompanied by an original peach colored invoice dated 4/13/78, number A22705A, completely identifying this shotgun with shipment to Abercrombie & Fitch and indicating that it was sold to “J. M. Olin” at 460 Park Avenue, NY, NY, to the attention of Ms. Ellen Estmerson. Also accompanied by its original hang tag and box with yellow end label marked with the serial number and “SPECIAL”. Weight 7 lbs 4.7 oz. CONDITION: As new, has been fired but retains virtually all its original factory finish to both metal and wood with brilliant shiny bores. Box is very good plus, including its internal cardboard sleeves and oil paper. 4-53614 JR1031 (17,500-35,000)
