LOT OF 3 EARLY TARGET SCOPES. (1) Unmarked 42-1/8” long, 5/8” tube diameter with dovetail front ring and a post adjustable rear mount. It has a large buckhorn sight about one foot from the back end and a small front sight on top of the front ring. CONDITION: Retains most of its original blue with several scattered spots of moderate rust toward the back end and light pinpoints toward the front end. Optics are cloudy, broken crosshairs. (2) L.C. Cummins, Montpelier, VT, 24” long with 3/4” tube and “1892” patent date. It has fixed dovetail rings with internal adjustments and a parallax adjustment. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains most of its bright original finish overall. Clear optics, good crosshairs. (3) Another Cummins with “1893” patent date, 16-1/2” long with 3/4” tube. This one has fixed front ring and adjustable rear ring for windage with internal elevation adjustment and parallax adjustment. There are two holes near the objective end. CONDITION: Optics are clear, crosshairs are fine. Retains about 85% original blue with scattered fine pinpoints of rust. 4-52444 JR726 (2,000-3,000)
