MUNYON’S PAW-PAW COMPOSITION SIGN. A 3-dimensional self-framed sign with a large papaya tree the juice of which was fermented and sold as “restorative elixir” by Dr. James Munyon in the early 1900s. The homeopathic remedy was produced and bottled on his 15 acre Munyon Island estate located off Palm Beach, FL, now in the FL park system. Sign appears to be moulded out of some unusual flexible composition. SIZE: 22-1/2” w x 33-1/4” h. CONDITION: Wear to the corners and some loss to the top at twelve o’clock; some cracks which appear to radiate through to the surface. PF 1-6738 (600-900)
