*ARGENTINE MAUSER MODEL 1891 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 7.65 Argentine. SN D5070. Usual contract Mauser with 30″ rnd bbl, square base front sight and 2000-meter ladder rear sight. Usual Argentine receiver markings with ground crest. 1-pc walnut stock and tiny hand guard. It has Argentine inspector cartouche on the right side of the butt and appears to be all matching. CONDITION: Fine plus. Bbl retains 95-97% strong orig blue, the receiver retains about 85% orig blue with the ground area a light patina. Stock has several small bruises and normal handling & use marks and retains about 90% orig finish. Cartridge box retains about 70% blue. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore. 4-54280 JR54 (300-500)
