MARTIALLY MARKED SMITH & WESSON #3 SCHOFIELD 1ST MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Schofield. Nickel finish, 7” keyhole ribbed bbl, usual markings on both sides of the ejector housing and stamped “US” on the bottom of the butt with “L” and “P” inspector marks on the various parts. Old ivory 2-pc grips. SN 702. CONDITION: Fine. All matching except the grips. Retains about 75% strong nickel with the balance a dark patina and light pitting. Grips are worn and too small for this frame. Strong dark bore with fine pitting, hand spring is broken or missing, otherwise mechanics are fine. 4-48007 JR89 (Anderson Collection) (1,750-2,750)
