WINCHESTER HIGH WALL SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. SN 65748. Standard grade rifle with 30” #3 oct bbl, blue blade Rocky Mountain front sight with platinum line and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has extra finish, beautifully grained American walnut wood with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbl retains 94-95% strong bright original blue with a couple of spots of deep pitting about mid-point and some scattered pinpoints of light surface rust. Receiver retains 85-90% original case colors, faded but bright on the left side and over the top of the receiver, dark with light surface etching and brown patina. Wood is sound with usual light handling and use nicks and scratches and retains most of its original fine factory finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with some slight roughness in front of the chamber. 4-52916 JR404 (4,000-7,000)
