*SMITH & WESSON MODEL 38 DOUBLE ACTION FRONTIER ENGRAVED REVOLVER. Cal. 38WCF (38-40). Silver plated, 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl, target front sight, fixed blade rear sight, 80% coverage moderate quality engraving reminiscent of L.D. Nimschke but not as good. Fitted with 2-pc deep medallion pearl grips. SN 48. CONDITION: Fine to excellent. Retains most of its custom finish, appears to be unfired after engraving, retaining most of the silver plating and about all of the case colors on the trigger and hammer. Brilliant shiny bore, fine grips with a couple of small chips on the left. Single action does not work well, works fine on double action.
