SMITH & WESSON ENGRAVED NEW MODEL #3 REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Silver finish with about 75% coverage factory engraving in foliate arabesque patterns, 5” keyhole ribbed bbl with pinned half-moon front sight and 2-line address. Fitted with deep gold medallion 2-pc ivory grips of more recent manufacture. SN 530. CONDITION: Good. Only traces of original finish remain in the bbl rib gullet and behind the recoil shields with the balance a gray-metal color. There is some very fine scattered pitting over the various surfaces. Bore is strong with scattered light pitting with a couple spots of light pitting. New grips need fitting. 4-47902 JR9 (Anderson Collection) (1,750-2,750)
