SMITH & WESSON ENGRAVED DOUBLE ACTION 1ST MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 38-44. Blue finish, 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl with Lyman target sights, ivory bead front and adjustable gold line rear. It has about 40% coverage foliate arabesque pattern engraving that is probably not factory and is fitted with deep gold medallion ivory grips and a factory Lanyard loop in the butt. Shipped 8/9/1894. SN 11404. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, retains about 80% strong blue turned gray-brown on the grip frame. There are a couple dings on the top rib and the ivory bead is about half missing. The non-original ivory grips are very fine. Good mechanics and bright shiny bore. 4-47904 JR11 (Anderson Collection) (1,500-3,000)
