SMITH & WESSON 3RD MODEL RUSSIAN ENGRAVED REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Nickel finish, 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl with patent dates and “Russian Model” on the top. Frame, cylinder and bbl have about 60% coverage New York style foliated arabesque pattern engraving and is fitted with fine old ivory grips. SN 39975. CONDITION: Very good. Retains about 90% nickel plating overall with small spots of brown patina and some minor rust spots on the bbl lug and around the muzzle. Cylinder may be an old redo. Grips have fine myriad dark age lines and are slightly shrunken. Very good mechanics with strong bore and scattered light pitting. 4-47900 JR7 (Anderson Collection) (3,500-5,000)
