*RARE SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER HIGH WALL TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 32-40. SN 120655. Very rare high wall with 30” #3 oct bbl, having full matted finish to the top three flats. The bbl lettering is centered on the left flat and the proof mark & caliber markings are almost under the forearm on the left flat. It has a slot blank in the front seat with the rear seat open. The top flat has been drilled and tapped and has scope blocks installed. It has Schuetzen dbl set triggers and lever with a nickeled brass Swiss buttplate. It is fitted with nicely figured American walnut having a replacement schnable tip forearm and straight stock. CONDITION: Bbl retains about 90% bright original factory blue with some chemical spotting and fine pitting near the muzzle. There are a couple spots of wrench marks or bruising on the edge of the left flat by the chamber area. Receiver retains most of an old refinish. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining most of its custom finish and the butt stock some oil staining around the tangs and retains 75-80% original varnish with usual nicks and scratches. Buttplate retains 40-50% original nickel. Hammer does not cock automatically on closing, otherwise mechanics are fine with a bright shiny bore. 4-52531 JR276 (5,000-10,000)
