Each transfer-decorated in blue, comprising: 1) “West Point Military Academy” with shell border, openwork deep dish with handles; unmarked, probably Enoch Wood & Sons, sic. fig. 188, p. 178; 3-3/4″ h. x 11″ l. 2) “Winter View of Pittsfield, Mass”, deep rectangular bowl with floral border centering cartouches with public buildings; with incised underglaze mark of James and Ralph Clews, 1-3/4″ h. x 9-3/8″ l. 3) “Unidentified Manor House”, rectangular deep serving bowl depicting Georgian 2-story house in center, framed in trees, four figures strolling on the lawn; unmarked, 1-3/4″ h. x 8-1/2″ l. 4) “Lafayette at Franklin’s Tomb” bowl, floral border, unmarked, 3-3/4″ h. x 6-1/2″ dia. 5) “Mount Vernon, the Seat of the Late Gen’l Washington”, cup, 2-1/4″ h. x 3-3/4″ dia. 6) “The Boston State House” medium blue transfer coffee cup; blue underglaze mark of Great American Seal eagle, 2-1/2″ h. x 4-1/2″ dia. 7) “Bird Cage”, cup depicting two children with lantern in front of thatched-roof cottage, foliage and scroll border; unmarked Adams, 2-1/2″ h. x 4-1/2″ dia.; reference Anglo-American China, Part II, by Sam Laidacker, p. 8, AMD 1. 8) Cup decorated with a floral-filled urn, unmarked, 2-1/2″ h. x 3-3/4″ dia. 9) Enoch Wood & Sons tea saucer decorated with three hounds and scrolling floral border; 4-1/2″ dia. 10) “Mount Vernon, the Seat of the Late Gen’l Washington” bowl, in underglaze blue, 1-1/4″ h. x 5-1/2″ dia. 11) “Boston Common and State House” medium blue bowl, marked with Great American Seal eagle in blue underglaze, 1-1/4″ h. x 6-1/4″ dia. SIZE: As noted above. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ.
