WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 FLATSIDE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 40-72. SN 2620. Standard grade rifle with 26” tapered oct bbl, half nickel front sight with screw and semi-buckhorn rear sight. The wood is straight grain American walnut with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: About good. Overall retains about 70% thin original blue turning plum, showing moderate to heavy wear with nicks, dings and scratches and a series of cuts on the bottom flat of the bbl and some dents. Forearm has a crack at the tip and has light handling and use marks and retains most of an old refinish. Mechanics are fine; strong bore with moderate wear and light pitting. 4-52930 JR428 (1,250-1,750)
