LOT OF 4 MINIATURE FEDERAL MIRRORS. Circa 1920. Lot consists of outstanding rectangular gilt wood mirror that is divided into three lower mirrors by columns with spiral beading. This is often referred to as an over mantle mirror. Above the mirrors are three eglomise panels depicting scenes of nature. Beautiful construction. Also included is a fine mahogany Chippendale mirror which has a mirror plate with gilt wood trim, an eglomise panel above the mirror, gilt molded festoons on the sides and a broken pediment on top with gilt decoration of an urn and flowers. An outstanding example of a fine Chippendale mirror. Also included is a pair of convex mirrors, beautifully made to enhance the gilt decoration of fine eagles at the top of each mirror with interwoven strings of gilt around the circular frame of the mirror.
