HOOPES FAMILY QUEEN ANNE WALNUT DRESSING TABLE. Pennsylvania, Circa 1750. Attributed to William Savery. Bottom of the middle drawer has initials which appear to be “Wm S” (possibly for William Savery). The family always referred to their dressing table as by William Savery. Rectangular molded edge overhanging top supported by a case having one long drawer and three short drawers. All with original brass bale hardware. Nicely carved skirt supported by four cabriole legs ending in a pad pointed slipper foot. Pine secondary wood. Old finish. SIZE: 29” h x case 29-3/4” w x 17” d. Top is 33-3/4” x 18-3/4”. CONDITION: There has been some refastening of top and new runners. Front corner of top piece reglued, generally very good. 9-70704 (8,000-12,000)
