*WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 405. SN67300. Standard grade rifle with 24” tapered rnd bbl, replacement pedestal mounted front sight, no sight in the rear seat and it has a Lyman 21 receiver sight. The wood is straight grain American walnut with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains 96-97% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains 85-88% original blue, strong and bright in the sheltered areas, turning to patina elsewhere. Tang plug screw is missing. Wood is sound with light handling and use marks and retains most of a shiny amateur refinish with finish applied over the buttplate. Mechanics are crisp, strong bore with fine pitting. 4-52927 JR426 (1,500-2,500)
