IMPORTANT HISTORICAL BLUE STAFFORDSHIRE “WELL-N-TREE” PLATTER. Mid-19th century. This unmarked example having a center panel depicting a large building of Gothic design on a treed landscape, the foreground with pond, swans, and a couple in a carriage within a wide bold floral border interspersed with four cartouches depicting various rural scenes. SIZE: 20-3/4″ l. x 16″ w. CONDITION: Overall very good, with minor imperfections in glazing, minor surface scratches and roughness to edge. No maker’s marks observed. 9-95202 (900-1,200)
