IMPORTANT MUSEUM QUALITY MONUMENTAL MT. WASHINGTON ROYAL FLEMISH DOUBLE HANDLED VASE. Featuring a superb decoration of Egyptian design with two Egyptian men in full dress with a camel. Central cartouche features an allover background design with many gold stars and three pyramids. One of the exotic figures is holding a saber in one hand and a water jug in the other. The entire surface of the vase is sectioned off and features Persian-like designs in medallions. One also features a sacred Egyptian bird with pyramids. Background colors are deep rust with heavily raised gold designs. Two applied handles complete the masterpiece. Because of the artistry of decoration, subject matter and monumental size, this certainly ranks as one of the most significant and sought after Royal Flemish extent. SIZE: 13” t x approx. 6” dia.
