HENRI JOSEPH CONSTAST DUTILLEUX (French, 1807-1865) “ATHIES LEZ ARRAS”. Oil on canvas landscape scene shows a wide dirt road passing by several thatched roof buildings surrounded by trees. A woman is seen tending to some cows and light shines from the right casting shadows and light on the road. All under a nice blue sky. Signed on right hand building “C. Dutilleux” with a Maltese Cross. Housed in an antique gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 25-1/2″ x 21-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good with scattered inpainting. 9-92382 (1,000-2,000)
