*WINCHESTER MODEL 53 LEVER ACTION TAKE DOWN RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). SN 10350. Standard grade rifle with 22” rnd nickel/steel bbl, ivory bead pedestal front sight and flat top rear sight. It has 1/2 magazine and uncheckered wood with straight stock and serrated steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 96-98% strong bright original blue. Forend cap has flaked to a dull patina and the takedown ring retains about 75% original blue with the balance flaked to patina. Receiver retains 15-20% original blue with the balance flaked and worn to a silver-brown patina. Lever and hammer retain about 90% original blue. Wood is sound with normal use and handling light scratches and marks. Small touchup spot on the wrist with some oil staining around the tang. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-52865 JR367 (800-1,500)
